Where It All Began

The kitchen was my first classroom — and I never graduated.

I was seven years old when I burned my first batch of cookies. The smoke alarm went off, my mom ran in laughing, and together we scraped the charred edges and ate them anyway with cold milk. In that moment, I learned the most important cooking lesson of my life: food is about love, not perfection.

That belief has followed me through culinary school, through professional kitchens in Bologna and Barcelona, through travels across Japan and Mexico — and eventually led me to create InTasty.com, a place where real cooking meets real life, and where no home cook ever feels intimidated.

Every recipe I publish has been tested in my own home kitchen, tasted by my family (my harshest critics), and written with the assumption that you are a real person with a real life — and very real hunger.

“The best recipe in the world is useless if it makes you feel inadequate. I write recipes that make you feel like a genius in your own kitchen.”

— Julia, Founder of InTasty.com

The Whole Honest Story

From restaurant kitchens to your screen.

After studying culinary arts and spending years working in professional kitchens — from a small trattoria in Bologna to a fast-paced brasserie in Barcelona — I hit a wall. Not a creative wall. A human one. I was cooking extraordinary food for strangers while my own family barely saw me. My little niece once asked me why I cooked for “everyone else but us.”

That question changed everything. I left the restaurant world and poured everything I knew — every technique, every flavor memory, every shortcut learned the hard way — into a website designed for home cooks who want to feel capable, inspired, and joyful in their own kitchens.

Today, InTasty.com is a growing community of food lovers who believe that cooking should be approachable, flavorful, and fun — not stressful or intimidating. I’m not here to show off. I’m here to help you fall in love with cooking the way I did — one slightly imperfect, absolutely delicious meal at a time.
